Andover Baseball Association

For health reasons, Andover Baseball Association is requiring all players to provide their own batting helmets by the start of participation.

• Recommended color for a batting helmet is black. All traveling players must purchase black or black/gold batting helmets!
• 9 & 10 year old - player pitch, in-house players must purchase a batting helmet with a mask.
• In-house players ages 6/7 yr old- tee-ball, 8 yr old - machine pitch, 11 & 12 yr old - player pitch, batting helmets with facemasks are optional. 
• All other ages can purchase helmets without a mask.

There will be a mandatory $100.00 volunteer fee required at registration. Please make a check out for $100.00 payable to ABA, separate from the registration check, with your childs name written on the check. You will be required to volunteer for 4 hours throughout the season. This includes coaches (head coach and 2 asst. coaches per team), team manager, helping at tournaments, registration, equipment pickup, uniform pickup, uniform turn in, etc. Registrations mailed in will not be valid unless accompanied by your volunteer fee. Your volunteer check will be shredded at the end of the season (we will not return the check to you) if you volunteer a minimum of 4 hours. Volunteer fees will be forfeited if you do not perform volunteer work during the season. If you do not intend to volunteer and wish to waive your volunteer fee at the time of registration please write 'I will not be volunteering & your signature' on your application. This will allow us to hire any additional help that may be needed.
