Andover Baseball Association Volunteer Policy

The ABA asks that all families take an active role in this association.  We ask our families to volunteer a minimum of 5 hours per child per season with a maximum of 10 hours per family. T-ball players are exempt from the volunteer commitment.

Signing up for Volunteer Opportunities

All volunteer opportunities will be handled by DIBS software located on the Andover Baseball website.   Please sign in by using your SportsEngine username and password, then selecting the DIBS button.  If you have not created an account, please do so by clicking on the link below. All available opportunities are on a first come, first serve basis.  An email will be sent out to all families whenever there is an opportunity available.  If you have any questions, please contact us at volunteers@andoverbaseball.org.

If you find you have a conflict and cannot volunteer, we ask that you notify the volunteer director as soon as possible.  Please do this by going into your DIB and hitting the cancellation button.  We understand that conflicts come up during this busy time of year. However, we still need to make sure our tournaments run smoothly, and this is only possible with volunteers.  If you do not show up for your selected volunteer slots, and no attempt to notify or cancel the slot has been made, then you will be charged the Volunteer Fee.

Rain delays are inevitable.  The directors in charge of the tournament will make the decisions concerning your volunteer time.  If you are sent home with the expectation of returning at a later time, then you must return or risk forfeiting your volunteer slot.
